This study investigates structural vulnerability, its drivers, characteristics, and coping responses among population groups across Afghanistan. It specifically examines these dynamics before and after the August 2021 shift in power, drawing on mixed methods analysis including in-depth interviews in Kandahar and Herat, and quantitative data covering most provinces. The aim is to inform humanitarian and wider assistance.
